Austin Tao

Honorary President and Advisor, FASLA

As the founder of Austin Tao & Associates, Inc., Mr. Tao has practiced for over 40 years across the United States and China. His designs and firm are widely recognized and respected, and he is a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects (FASLA).

Mr. Tao served for more than 15 years on the Board of Trustees for the Missouri Historical Society, which operates the Missouri History Museum. He was also a founding member of the Organization of Chinese Americans (OCA), where he previously served as National President. His long-standing interests include history, cultural heritage, public engagement, cross-cultural exchange, and professional collaboration between China and the United States.

Mr. Tao retired in 2013 and continues to serve as an advisor to ATA.
