Designed as a green infrastructure, the park serves as a low-maintenance, self-sustaining stormwater facility within the newly developed district. By integrating carefully with the existing context and topography, the design establishes a tree-buffered open space for perimeter activities and a large, recessed meadow at the center. This configuration maximizes accessibility to park amenities while providing the necessary detention capacity for the site and its surrounding developments. Runoff is captured at grade and directed toward the center through a series of nature-based treatments: vegetated swales, infiltration planters, trenches, and dense woody bioretention areas. During extreme events, such as 50- or 100-year floods, the central green space acts as a functional reservoir.
