Mr. Antkowiak is the principal design architect at both the Beijing and St. Louis offices of ATA. He has over 15 years of professional experience with design and construction in the various fields of Residential design; ranging from Single Family, Multi-family, to Mixed-Use, Senior Living, and Master Planned Communities. He has worked with developers in the related fields extensively as well as private owners. Prior to ATA, Mr. Antkowiak worked for 10 years at The Lawrence Group Inc., where he served in several groups within the residential field as designer and has realized various unique projects. He has been decorated by his peers, both on local and national levels through his extra-curricular efforts in design competitions.

Mr. Antkowiak’s love of design began in early childhood. Raised in the North suburbs of Chicago, he found a deep appreciation and desire to do all-things-design from the vast wealth that Chicago has to offer. He has also studied architecture extensively in Europe. As a philosophy, he believes architecture should not only have academic intrigue, but first and foremost should be clear, comfortable, and beautiful to the users of each space. He believes design should have “complexity through simplicity”.
